The Republic of Italy and the Republic of France have honored Robert Hensler with the titles of Officier de l'Ordine Al Merito Della Reppubblica Italiana and Chevalier dans l'Ordre National De La Légion D'Honneur respectively. These distinctions underline the quality of the links he has forged and constantly maintained between these two states and Geneva, both in his capacity as State Chancellor of the Republic and Canton of Geneva and as Chairman of Palexpo and the Arena, as well as within the law firms Kaiser Böhler and Fontanet et Associés.
